Shag, weighing in at approximately 70 pounds, is a talented and
accomplished 9-year old, medium gold Golden with handsome
features. He is well muscled, has excellent proportions with well set
ears, strong topline, level back and excellent pigmentation. He exhibits
a temperament of the typical field Golden; hard driving in the field yet
calm in the house while being good with other dogs and an instant
companion to children.
Shag’s field trial career began in California, competing in only several derbies and attaining 10-derby
points. He became all-age qualified at 23-months of age and received an Amateur Reserved Jam
before his 3rd birthday. After a 12-month hiatus from training, Shag started competing again in 2007,
with Open and Amateur placements in Ontario, Canada, which qualified him for the Canadian National
Open in which he completed 6 series.
Other honorifics include:
•
March 2009: Carolina Piedmont Retriever Club - Open 3rd.
•
April 2009: Tar Heel Retriever Club - Open Jam.
•
Sept. 2009: Wolverine Retriever Club - Open 3rd.
•
March 2010: Caroline Piedmont Retriever Club - Open Jam.
•
Oct. 2010: Central Savannah Ret. Club - Open Jam.
•
Mary 2011: Cebntral New York Ret Club - Amateur 2nd.
Between June, 2011, and August, 2011, Shag ran six Master Hunt Tests passing all six and attaining
the MH title.
As a testament to Shag’s trainability and intelligence, he received his CD obedience title after only 2-
one hour obedience lessons with one 1st place and two 2nd placements.
Shag is a joy to live with and a joy to train; he excels at marking and is intelligent and eager to please.
He learns fast, is dependable and runs hard and fast whether doing drills, hunting waterfowl or trialing.

Jazz carries on the traits of her mother (RedMark’s Galloping
Gaylen SH), her grandmother (Mioak’s Aspen Autumn Gold MH
CDX WCX OD) and her grandfather (FC AFTCH Cedarpond
Brasdor Skywalker OS Can. FDHF); she’s dark red, she’s fast
and she’s an excellent marker. Jazz is 57 pounds with a dark
red, short, straight coat with medium feathering. Her short coat makes her especially easy to care for
while hunting upland game in burr-infested fields. She has dark eyes, good pigmentation and bite,
and a blocky head.
In the field she is FAST, birdy, and an excellent marker; she is strong in the water and very, very
intense. In spite of her intensity and drive in the field, she has a calm, laid back temperament and
makes an excellent house dog. Jazz is affectionate and attentive to anyone who will pay attention to
her. This makes her extremely popular at our nursing home visits. Her sweet disposition makes her
the perfect house dog and companion. Jazz’s pedigree is outstanding, loaded with FC’s, AFC,
Outstanding Sires and Outstanding Dams.
Puppies get individual nurturing from birth starting with early neurological stimulation and
socialization. Dew claws are removed, all are vet checked and all necessary vaccinations are
administered before being released. Puppies are exposed to birds at an early age and introduced to
water, weather permitting. Title rebates are a standard part of RedMark Retrievers contract in
addition to a full 26 month health guarantee against heredity diseases.
